Culture shock aside, Astarion will have a field day to be in another world. Not just because of the novelty of it, and he will appreciate the novelty, but because it is so far removed from Cazador and anyone Cazador could send after him; he's untouchable! He's so conveniently lost it's almost funny! Freeing himself from Cazador permanently by any means necessary is his primary motivation in-game, and so with that done for him by nature of being in another world, he'll be more than happy to lean into Manna and Synchrony and whatever else, as long as he retains his freedom. That doesn't necessarily mean he'll be trusting of anyone right out the gate, Gembonded or otherwise, but he has no reason to be anything other than charming. Also, sex is pretty dope. That part's all good. The real struggle might just be knowing what to do with himself, now that he is unfettered, but that's not necessarily a bad struggle. So, broadly: this is a huge improvement over what he was living through before.
Condition upon arrival: Fairly good! The only thing of note is that he does have, living in his head, a mindflayer tadpole that gives him a few extra powers and is kind of a ticking time bomb; there's no known time limit on how long it will take the tadpole to transform him into a full mindflayer, but because the tadpole's presence also allows him to go out in the sunlight despite his vampirism, I'd like to keep its growth stalled out indefinitely via magic... yes. This means that he won't be able to get any new powers from it either, even if he makes use of the old ones.

    Abilities:
▶ He's a rogue, so he's generally good at stealth and lockpicking, disarming traps, etc.
▶ He's proficient in using a bow as well as daggers/short swords, but he prefers the bow.
▶ As a high elf and vampire spawn he doesn't need to sleep, and instead goes into a sort of trance. He can choose to sleep, though.
▶ He technically doesn't need to eat anything besides blood, but caveat: everything else tastes like shit to vampire spawn if he got the urge for a glass of wine or something.
▶ As a vampire spawn he has pretty much none of the benefits of a full vampire, but he can bite and drain a person of their blood pretty easily! Woo!
▶ The mindflayer tadpole in his head allows him to get around most of the inconveniences of being a vampire (spawn), e.g. he can be out in the sunlight and doesn't need permission to enter a home.
▶ The tadpole also allows him to communicate telepathically and read the memories of others, but only if they also have a tadpole, so this one is irrelevant unless some castmates app.

Inventory: A shortbow, a quiver of arrows, two daggers, a single healing potion.

    Gembond: Ruby
Gem Location: Like... there. Just above the pelvis.
